In this wonderful weekend I spent most of my time on working as a set photographer for our production "Just Another Lost Soul" a.k.a JALS, a student short film presented by FPS at UCLA.
After the three consecutive days of shooting, we are all exhausted. Yesterday we went to L.A. downtown to film several scenes. The location was pretty closed to the intersection of I-10 and CA 110, and also the Staples Center, the home of Los Angeles Lakers. I did not get a chance to explore that area before. I parked my car on the Eastern part of Venice Blvd. It's totally different from the Venice Blvd in West L.A. You can't see any BMW 6 series convertible. You can't see anyone dressed up fancy. Those areas seemed to be the residential area for Mexican community as I could always hear Spanish conversation when I was walking along the street, which was dirty and full of trash. I could imagine that it was the place for homeless people at night, and I could imagine how scary it would be at night.
